Best way to upset a room full of teenagers? Give them assigned seats. I was told today that I ruined students lives, that my class used to be their favorite but now it's not any more and that they were going on strike. I smiled and thought I guess I'm doing my job! I also told students that whatever we don't get through in class today will be homework for tonight. They all turned around very quickly.
A lot less chatter today in class, which was what I was shooting for =) Not bad for a Monday! Tomorrow is another day...
